Support Raul Flores' Medical Recovery

Dear friends, family members, and kind people,

We are asking for help to raise funds for our dad's medical bills and ongoing expenses.

His name is Jose Raul Flores. Monday, Dec. 16, he woke up and was completely fine. He was dressing his little dog for the cold while we made fun of him for dressing up the dog he didn’t want. The day went on; we had a family celebration. He went to sleep, and we went Christmas shopping.

Our little sister called to notify us that our dad was shaking, unresponsive, and cold to the touch. 911 was called, which is where we found out his prognosis. Our dad had a brain aneurysm. We thank God it was here and not in Mexico. He had a medical emergency in Mexico 3 years ago; it was a brain aneurysm as well. And if you don’t know, Mexican hospitals don’t tend to do anything unless you pay upfront.

He is currently in the hospital and has had surgery done. We have been told that days 7-14 are the most critical. And we really don’t know what to do because he is our dad.

Our mom, his wife, is currently in Mexico. She had to go to get a medical surgery and is unable to come back home due to her surgery.

Please, anything helps. We are raising funds for my dad’s medical bills and ongoing care. We also have a small bookish business where we make and sell bookish items. Buying anything also helps. The money from said business is and will continue being used to help our dad.

With the holidays around the corner, we understand not everyone can donate. Please consider sharing our dad’s story. When we, his children, were sick, he never stopped looking after us. And we won’t stop looking after him either.
