My name is Sasha, and I am fundraising for Rasha, a woman in Gaza who was recently introduced to me through our mutual friend, Abdullah (help him here). Rasha is married and expecting a baby very soon—but instead of preparing with joy, she is surrounded by bombing and cut off from resources. She and her family are struggling to survive, let alone prepare for their newest member.
After Abdullah connected us, Rasha explained that she urgently needs help to provide the most basic necessities: baby clothes, milk, diapers, medicine, and safe, healthy food. On top of this, she also needs funds to cover the medical expenses related to her delivery and follow-up care.
This fundraiser is about helping Rasha safely give birth and welcome her child into the world with dignity, safety, and hope—and ensuring she, her baby, and her family have the food and medical support they need to survive the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
Rasha and Abdulrahman's destroyed home.
How the funds will be used:
- Baby clothes, milk, and diapers
- Healthy food for Rasha, her baby, and her family
- Medical expenses for safe delivery and follow-up care
- Treatment for Abdulrahman, Rasha's husband, who is recovering from a serious injury
- Urgent needs as they arise while living in a war zone
Every dollar makes a difference. $20 can help buy diapers. $50 can cover some medicine or food. Together, these donations can allow Rasha to focus on this important moment so she can deliver her child safely.

Why this matters:
Rasha is a person. Her hopes, dreams, and needs are as real as anyone you know. For me, helping Rasha maintain this fundraiser is one small way I can acknowledge her humanity and contribute to a future of security, safety, and care—the same I would wish for my own family.
Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser widely. A child’s birth should be a moment of joy, celebration, and togetherness. Let’s do what we can to give Rasha this important moment with her child—and help ensure this new family can experience many more moments of safety, love, and hope in the future.
Thank you for supporting Rasha and her baby.
