Hello, My name is Raquel! On October 18, 2025, I was in a serious car accident that left me with severe injuries in my left arm. Initially I was taken to Sinai Hospital where I ended up getting transferred to Shock Trauma at Maryland downtown. After a 7-hour surgery, doctors had to insert screws and plates to stabilize it. I’m currently recovering in the hospital and will need months of therapy and healing before I can return to my normal routine.

I’m a mom to a 2yr old Toddler baby girl and a nursing student. Donaldo has been been my rock & the best dad to our baby girl throughout nursing school. I’m due to graduate nursing school May 2026 & have been invited to be inducted into the nursing honors society. Needless to say, a lot of my hard work would feel devastating.

The financial strain from medical bills, follow-up appointments, and basic household needs is heavy, and any amount of support, big or small, would mean the world to me and my family.

I’m so grateful to still be here and for all the prayers and love that have surrounded us. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me through this difficult time.
