Hello, everyone. I am Raquel's son. We are struggling.
Earlier this year, my mom was diagnosed with a high-grade brain cancer. While the cancer is in remission, she has physically and mentally declined in the last month or so to a near-vegetative state.
She cannot walk, she cannot communicate properly, she cannot eat properly, she seemingly cannot control her emotions, she is constantly making noises, and cries for reasons we cannot understand because she cannot voice her concerns. My father often has to skip work to care for her 24/7 while I go to school, and the whole situation has stressed us out immensely. Taking care of her means sacrificing what little time and money we have. We're always searching for help, but because of insurance or scheduling, we don't always get it.
I would post a video to show the full extent of her condition, but I cannot post one here. There is a single picture in the media on this page that shows how far she's declined however. Again, she needs constant care, and despite getting treatment for some of the after-effects she's experiencing now, I'm not holding out much hope that things will get better.
Any money donated will go towards taking care of medical bills, getting more support for my mom, and covering any family needs.
Please, we need the help.

Hello everyone I am Raquel’s niece and want to share with you my desire for this page.
On January of this year my aunt decided to undergo a Brain MRI. She had been dealing with headaches, confusions and forgetfulness for a few months of which she attributed to aging. Unfortunately the Brain MRI showed a mass and underwent surgical resection a few days after. The pathology revealed Astrocytoma WHO grade 4, most commonly know as Glioblastoma( GBM). This is a very aggressive cancer that orginates in the Brain. GBM is incurable despite surgical resection, radiation and TMZ( oral chemotherapy pill) all of which she has already done.
Despite all of this her medical care has worsened with frequent seizures that have required many trips to the hospital, ICU admission and most recently episodes of altered mental status. She is currently undergoing a second and last line of treatment in hopes that she can regain some function back.
My hope in this page is that we share her story, we unite in prayer and plead to a merciful and graceful God for her to regain some function, and be able to communicate with her loved ones again. As you also know medical circumstances also bring many stressful monetary constraints for the family and she ofcourse is no longer working and will most likely need extended nursing care.
Thankyou please keep my aunts in your prayers and thankyou for your support.
