Our dear friend and community leader Raquel, mom of Isabella and Alyssa, has sustained life-threatening injuries, having been hit by a car and will need significant care for months to come. With the family’s permission, we are starting a GoFundMe to support the family with the anticipated expenses of visiting and caring for Raquel at the hospital and the long-term care she will need once she is released.

Raquel gives so much to the community with decades of youth work, organizing, advancing racial equity, and bringing her heart and light to every space she’s in. More than ever, Raquel needs us to show up the ways she’s always shown up to better our world. It’s our time to hold her and rally around her with love and tenderness. We hope to raise $70,000 to help with the beginning of her recovery journey.
