Support Ranvir's Family After His Tragic Death
Donation protected
The past 8 months have been incredibly difficult for the Dhanota family. On June 31, 2022, Ranvir Singh Dhanota (fondly called “Rana” by his loved ones) was diagnosed with Leukemia. The doctors continuously reassured him and his family not to worry, at his age (barely hitting 40), and finding the cancer at such an early stage, it was diagnosable. He would be ok. He was being treated at one of the top cancer treatment facilities in New York and had a wonderful care team looking after him on his journey to recovery.
On February 17, 2023, Ranvir Singh Dhanota tragically passed away, leaving his beloved family and friends in utter shock and devastation. His health had taken a turn for the worst after undergoing a bone marrow transplant and fighting infection after infection in his blood. At the end, his body just wasn’t capable of producing enough white blood cells to fight the infections, his major organs were failing, and within hours, he was placed on life support.
A man that was loved by all, Ranvir left us too soon. He was the type of person that everyone just got along with. A heart of gold. Ranvir’s kind gentle soul is a void that will be hard to fill.
Rana is survived by his wife, Sukhvir Kaur Dhanota, and his 12 month old son, Jashan Singh Dhanota. Our hearts are broken for our sister, Sukhvir. Jashan, their son was only 4 months old when his papa was diagnosed. After 3 failed IVF attempts, they had finally been blessed with a beautiful baby boy. Ranvir was thrilled to be a father and had so many dreams for his son. Fate has been cruel to this family as both Ranvir and Sukhvir were forced into countless doctor visits and treatment appointments for the leukemia, instead of being able to spend this precious time with their sweet boy. Jashan was two days away from his first birthday when his papa had passed.
We can’t bring Rana back for Sukhi or Jashan but let us help for their future. Rana was the sole provider in their household. The funds raised can help this family gain some financial stability for the time ahead and help give Sukhi some time to decide what her next steps will be for her family. We humbly request any donations possible to help this family out. All funds raised will be directly deposited into Sukhvir’s bank account and will be used according to her discretion for her and Jashan’s future needs. Every donation counts, however big or small. Thank you ALL!
