I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and I’m asking for help as I begin treatment. For about 6 months, I have been living with severe pain and going from doctor to doctor trying to find answers. During that time, I kept being dismissed or told it must be a disc injury and that I needed PT. Now that I finally have a diagnosis, I’m facing the reality of what comes next.

This has already affected so much of my daily life. The pain has made it hard for me to work, and all of the appointments it took to get here added even more strain. One of the things I love most is going with my partner, Alli, to her job at local farmer’s markets on the weekends, but over the last few months the increasing pain has made it harder and harder for me to help and to spend that quality time together in the way I love.

With treatment ahead, both of our incomes are being affected significantly. I will also need monthly inpatient hospital stays, and the intensity of treatment will continue to impact my daily life. The funds from this fundraiser will help cover my treatments, the costs of those hospital stays, and our living expenses as we try to manage this change.

There is some urgency now because our incomes are already being affected, and my medical bills will start needing payment in the next month or two.
