Support Ranger’s Journey to Cancer Recovery
Donation protected
Sadly, we received the news no one wants to hear. Our 3-year-old dog (soon to have his 4th birthday) has cancer. Ranger had a mass removed from his elbow on September 23rd. He was diagnosed with Soft Tissue Sarcoma, and, unfortunately, they were unable to get clean margins. We are currently awaiting chest X-ray results to see if the cancer has spread. We will be meeting with the oncologist on September 21st to discuss our options and go from there.
We rescued Ranger in 2021 from BARC animal shelter when he was around a year old. Ranger has been the best dog and companion since then. Every person who meets him falls in love with his sweet, goofy, and unique personality. He loves every person he meets and is especially fond of children, keeping a close eye on “his” child wherever she goes. He has lived a full life in his almost 3 years with us, visiting 30 Texas State Parks, 9 National Parks, 14 states, and spending over 100 nights camping in a tent with us. He enjoys daily morning walks, sleeping in the bed with his humans, and sitting on countertops like a cat. We are really hoping this is just a small little hurdle and he will live to see many more years of adventures and love with us.
