Ranger is without a doubt my soul cat. I adopted Ranger when I was 15 years old, and struggling to battle depression. He brought an entirely new meaning to my life, and he saved me. Now, all I want to do is save him, and give him the best chance possible at a long life.
Recently, a small hard mass appeared on Ranger’s rear, next to the base of his tail. It began to grow. I brought him in for a cytology, but results came back as non diagnostic. It continued to grow rapidly. I immediately took him in to have it removed. The mass was unable to be removed, so we did a biopsy and sent it out to the lab. A week later, the results came back. My sweet boy Ranger was diagnosed with Fibrosarcoma, a very aggressive and rare cancer- at just 7 years old.
We were referred to a specialist, and after finding out the cost of surgical removal and radiation, I knew I wouldn’t be able to take this on alone. The surgery and radiation therapy total up to $12,000. This isn’t even including the cost of the radiographs, cytology, surgery, and CT scan we have already done.
Please, any donations towards my sweet boys treatment would mean the world to us- even just sharing this page would be greatly appreciated.
