I have known Dave Smith for nearly forty years. We first met at Unity College here in Maine, which led to adventures from Maine to California, and working together in various settings.
We both chose to settle here on Mount Desert Island to pursue our careers and to raise families. I know many people in our community that have met Dave professionally in his thirty plus years working with a large national employer, or know him personally as a member of the community.
Dave has always been an extremely hard worker and a kind and giving person, but now he needs support from the community.
I recently learned of the situation Dave has been in with that large national employer, which I now understand has been evolving for five years. He was only recently allowed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to publicly disclose his discrimination complaint with that large national employer.
I have known Dave as one who grinds on in the face of challenges, and I was not surprised that he had been keeping this hidden from friends.
In checking in with Dave about his situation, it became clear it has been a highly stressful and expensive process. To help cover his legal expenses as well as stress management therapy and related medical expenses, Dave took out a $50,000 home equity loan. However, civil litigation can be a long and expensive process, and help is needed.
Please support Dave if you can and spread word to others in our Community.
Dave is also seeking recommendations for attorneys who might be a good fit for representing him in the next phase of his dispute.
Thank You For Helping Dave....!!!
