Our great friend and someone I consider family, Randy Pierce had a stroke while driving home. Here is his story in his own words.
I was on my way home from class on January 10. I stopped to get gas around 4:30. I left expecting to be home around 5:30. About 5 pm, I had a strong pain on my right temple, then everything went black. My last thought was to steer right and hit the brake so as not to hurt others. Next thing, I am in a ditch, people are pulling me out of the car and up to theirs. The ambulance shows up and talks me into going to the hospital where I stayed for 5 days. I have not had insurance for years. Luckily, I have been healthy. I have had to cancel half my work, but luckily I do half on Zoom, so I'm still working to pay for necessities. They estimate my bill will be 60-70 thousand dollars. I will work it down hopefully.
As many know, Randy is a small business owner and an IICRC Instructor. Because of the stroke, he cannot fly, which seriously impacts his ability to earn a living. We have an amazing industry and many, many people have had the opportunity to learn from Randy. He has given so much to others over the years, so now we have the opportunity to help him.
Please donate if you are able and please SHARE this with everyone you know. Lets help our brother out!
