On January 2 2024 Randy had numbness in his right leg. It wasn't the first time so he went to bed. In the morning the numbness had spread and he was not even able to stand. He was taken by ambulance to our local hospital emergency room. From that moment on things are a blur. By the end of that week he had undergone 5 surgeries ending with an amputation above the right knee. He was in the hospital for over 5 weeks, he got sepsis and we almost lost him. He made it through that and was able to move to a rehab for approximately three weeks. Once we could get all the necessary set up and equipment he was able to come home. He has worked very hard to become as independent as he can. He is in a wheelchair and we are hopeful that over time he will be able to get a skin g=aft and then a prosthetic. Progress is slow but steady.
However without any income bills have become overwhelming. Such bills as mortgage, utilities and day to day costs. We would be grateful for any assistance anyone can offer to help get things caught up.
Randy has always been the one to reach out to help others but now the tables have changed.
If you can help God Bless you. If you can't please pass it on to any others who know myself or Randy.
