Our friends Randall and Michelle Richards met 6 years ago and knew when they met it was love at first sight.
They got married on 7/22/22. Everything was going great until June when Randy started to complain of no energy, always tired, and noticed he would get winded doing the little things he would do.
Randy is a truck driver and he began to notice that what he always did now had become challenging for him.
This was so unusual for Randy because he was always on the go doing things.
Randy is an amazing person and would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. He’s always helping someone with something, whether it would be working on someone’s car, right down to helping someone move, put something together, or call him for a ride. He’s always there.
Fast forward to September 5th, Randy was diagnosed with MDS/AML Leukemia. That was not only a shock to us but also changed their lives.
He starts chemotherapy tomorrow in Pittsburgh at the Hillman Cancer Center. This is going to be a long, rough road. The doctors are convinced that he will beat this. This will take 6 months to a year.
During treatment, Randy is unable to work. This cuts their income in half. The bills and cost of treatment will put a strain on what Michelle makes.
Michelle will continue to work when she’s not taking him to appointments, continuous lab work, and treatments. Due to the severity of the treatment, Randy will not be able to drive himself.
We are hoping that we all can help make things easier on Michelle and Randy during this time of need.
I’d like to thank all of you for anything and everything you can do for them.
God Bless
