Support Randy's Fight Against Aggressive Cancer
Donation protected
When two young teenagers marry, everyone says it won’t last. But after 42 years, it’s not time but cancer that’s trying to take him away from me.
Three years ago, my husband, Randy, faced his first battle with small B-cell lymphoma. After a grueling year of chemo and hospital stays, he finally got the all-clear and began rebuilding his strength to return to work. Randy has been a truck driver for over 40 years and now shares his skills as a truck-driving instructor.
For the past two years, we both worked to put that frightening chapter behind us—he returned to the road, training students, while I took care of my parents, who have Alzheimer’s. We hoped the worst was over. But once again, our world has been turned upside down. This time, Randy has been diagnosed with stage 4 large B-cell lymphoma. It’s an aggressive form, and the cancer has come back with a vengeance. He has a 15-centimeter malignant mass pressing on his chest cavity and esophagus and multiple tumors in his stomach, some as large as 11 centimeters. This fight will be even tougher than the last.
To give him the best chance, Randy’s treatments can’t all be done locally. We will need to travel frequently to Emory Hospital in Atlanta, nearly four hours away, where he’ll receive stem cell transplants, chemotherapy, and any other treatments that might help us beat this.
Asking for help isn’t easy for us, especially when we’ve always been the ones supporting others. But now we’re turning to our friends, family, and community. If you’re able to contribute, any amount would help ease the financial strain and allow us to focus on Randy’s fight. We’re grateful for any support—whether it’s a donation, a prayer, or simply taking the time to share with others. Thank you for being part of our journey and helping us face this battle together.
