Support Randy Schottle's Fight Against Cancer

This is never an introduction that I wanted to write but here goes; My name is Nicole Johnson the sister of Randy Schottle. For any of you that know Randy you know he hates attention so it took some convincing on my part to start a gofundme for him. The story of Randy's cancer journey, yes cancer was something we were all shocked by. Back in September Randy jammed his finger, a simple jammed finger can't be cancer, how can that be cancer?? He had been dealing with the pain of a "jammed finger" for 6 months until he finally went in because the pain and swelling was to much to bare. He found out he needed surgery because of the mass he had on his hand, it turns out that the mass was cancer after the biospy. After the biopsy showed cancer his next step was to get a full body scan. Those scans were scary to look at. The cancer, which is called multiple myeloma (a form of blood cancer that attacks the plasma in your blood), was everywhere affecting most of his limbs and joints especially in his legs. The good news was that is wasn't in any organs; the bad news was it's treatable but not curable.

Randy will be starting 4 rounds of chemo with 28 days each round every Monday for the next 4 months. After that he will need a stem cell transplant which will require him to stay at the hospital for the duration of this treatment estimated 4 weeks. He has a long long road ahead of him and will be missing multiple days of work. The worst part about that is he just started his new job at 3M in October and has not been there long enough to rack up sick or personal time off or qualify for short term disability. I would like to try and help do something to ease some of the financial burden for him, because as his sister, I cant just sit back and do nothing. He would give you the shirt of his back if it was his last shirt. He does so much for my kids and is one of their biggest fans. I know it hurts him so badly that he wont be able to make their events during this period of time, or take them to doctor appointments when we can't because he enjoys spending this time with them. He is a single guy just trying to make something of himself in this world and life threw a big wrench in his plans. He's a fighter, he will get through this, but I am just hoping you can help with a monetary donation for his cause to help ease the burden of medical and personal finances while going through treatment.
