Help Randy Palmer Fight Cholangiocarcinoma (a rare and aggressive form of cancer)

My dad, Randy Palmer, was recently diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer)stage 3 . What started as a ER visit for something unrelated turned into a life changing discovery… a que ball size mass on his liver and possible surrounding lymph nodes that was later confirmed to be cancer.

Anyone who knows my dad knows he’s one of the hardest working men around. He’s been a bricklayer along the Gulf Coast for decades (42 years), and truly one of the best there is. But even more than that, he’s the kind of person who never hesitates to lend a hand… whether it’s a friend, a neighbor, or even a stranger in need. I’ve watched him my whole life show up for others, time and time again.

Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.

My dad is the sole provider, and while he doesn’t have many bills, he’s always been the one to carry the load and never the one to ask for help. I’m creating this GoFundMe because I want to do what I can to ease his stress so he can focus entirely on healing and beating this cancer.

He’s fighting not just for himself, but for his wife, kids, and grandkids who adore him and need him here. He currently has no health insurance but has applied for Medicaid and awaiting an answer. He started chemo today 12/8/25 and will go every week for that and Ocshners in Louisiana this Thursday to see if they can do surgery or not. Every bit of help will make a difference during this time, helping cover what we can’t and easing the burden that comes with treatment and recovery.

My hope is to be able to present this to him and show him that his friends, family, and community have come together for him in a big way, to remind him just how loved and appreciated he truly is.
