Our friend and loved one Randall “Randy” Mandaville was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer this past May. Since then, his family has been doing everything in their power to navigate the nonstop appointments, chemotherapy, radiation, and the frightening uncertainty that comes with each new update.

Randy is hardworking, dedicated, and the kind of man who always shows up for the people he loves. He gives without hesitation and would do anything for those he calls a friend.

With the cancer now progressed into both lungs, Randy’s breathing has become much more difficult. He now needs supplemental oxygen each day. During his most recent chemo treatment, he experienced a severe allergic reaction that left him feeling extremely unwell. It was incredibly hard for his family to see him go through that.

Still, the Mandaville family hasn’t lost hope. They are searching for every option that might bring him comfort or extend his time, including seeing an integrative oncologist. These visits cost hundreds of dollars each, and many of the supplements and supportive therapies that can improve his comfort aren’t covered by insurance. As the medical needs continue to grow, so has the financial pressure, and the family is doing everything they can to keep exploring every hopeful option for Randy.
