Honoring the Memory of Randy Elliott
On August 1, 2024, our beloved colleague Randy Elliott tragically passed away while in service to McVay Drilling. This date marked his 13th anniversary with our company, making this loss even more poignant for all of us who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Randy was more than just our safety man; he was the heart and soul of McVay Drilling. For the last 13 years, he dedicated himself to ensuring our safety, always approaching his role with diligence and the best attitude. Known for his unique style, Randy defied the typical oil patch environment by keeping up with current fashion trends, a testament to his vibrant and youthful spirit at the age of 58.
A devoted husband, father of three, and grandfather of five, Randy’s love for his family was evident in everything he did. His passion for the Houston Astros and his grandchildren brought him immense joy. Randy was also a man of deep Christian faith, always the first to offer a prayer and provide spiritual support to those around him.
Randy’s smile could light up any room, and his outgoing personality made him the first to greet anyone who walked in. He had the biggest heart and went out of his way to help every employee, from the newest hire to those he had known for years. His kindness and dedication left an indelible mark on all of us.
We are a small family-owned company with one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry, and because of that, we truly feel like family. Randy’s loss is deeply felt by all of us in the office and the men in the field. His presence and his unwavering support for every member of our team made our workplace a better and safer environment.
In this time of grief, we are coming together to support Randy’s family and honor his legacy. We invite you to contribute to this GoFundMe campaign to help his family with any immediate expenses and to ensure they feel the love and support of the community Randy cherished so much.
Thank you for your generosity and for helping us celebrate the life of a remarkable man who will never be forgotten.
