Dear Springdale Community,

Today a neighbor of ours was arrested and detained by ICE and DHS. Randy Cordova Flores is a resident and parent in the Springdale Borough. Randy is originally from Peru and actively seeking asylum status.

Randy was pulled over without cause and was asked to come to the police station. He complied and was later sent to the Pittsburgh ICE detention center.

Randy has no criminal record, his parents are permanent residents and his sister is a US citizen.

His family is traumatized and living in fear of leaving their homes.

The financial burden they face is significant and will be ongoing as we look to support them with legal fees, missed wages, housing and food.

This fundraiser was created to support Randys family with legal fees, housing and food.

The organizer (Dani) is working closely with trusted community members and advocates to gather and distribute funds directly to the family.

Please note we are 100% in direct contact with the family and our connection is primarily through the school district.
