My name is Susan. I am Randie’s mother. I'm new at this and honestly have no idea what I'm doing, but we are in desperate need of help. My daughter recently went through a very tragic experience at a very young age. My daughter is 34 years old and suffered from a minor stroke to her left side Friday. As tests were being performed, more findings were discovered. She also has a Chiari 1 abnormality with 8 mm of her cerebellum herniated through the base of her skull and into her spinal cord. She failed a lot of the tests that were personally done by the doctors, like reflex testing eye movement testing physical nose to finger activity lifting of the limbs for seconds at a time and many more. So more CTs and MRIs were ordered, including a 3-hour MRI. For her brain lumbar and cervical spine. It's been really tough on her, being in the hospital and being away from her son has been one of the biggest challenges, but also finding out all of this news. All at once is overwhelming and if anyone knows Randie you know, she is not one to just sit nor be away from her son for this long. So far, no date of when she will be coming home. They have mentioned transferring to Orlando for the rare Chiari 1 abnormality. She can't walk well at all, she has to have a walker and assistance at all times. She is experiencing weakness on her left side, along with decreased sensitivity and heaviness in her left leg, which is causing more trouble walking. She currently also has an infection now as well. She is in a lot of pain and has a long road of recovery ahead. She's going to be doing physical therapy for quite some time to rebuild the strength and retrain her left side. But there was also mentioned surgery on her skull to fix the Chiari 1 abnormality. My daughter is very independent. She is a single mother and works her butt off every single day to make a living to support her and her son. She is one of the strongest people. Now, with that being said, she is going to be out of work for quite some time and is going to need the community's help to come together and help as much as you possibly can. Anything and everything is greatly appreciated, but she wants everyone to know that she is going to come out of this stronger than ever and is going to beat this and get back to her self again She knows the work that needs to be put in, and she's ready to do it, but it's going to take the help of others to make sure that happen so her son can keep their home, keep their bills up-to-date, and help pay for medication and medical bills. Any donation is appreciated. We thank all of you very much, and please pray for my daughter in this difficult time. Thank you.
The money will be used for household bills, medical bills and food
