On March 16, we tragically lost our friend and comrade Ramon Smith. Ramon was killed in a car crash while on a trip to visit his father out of state. 

Ramon was a talented artist, a former youth organizer with the Youth Art & Self-empowerment Project, a beloved son and brother, and proud father to a newborn son, Ramon Jr. Ramon was a loyal friend and he always did his best to show up for his family and friends, who are crushed by this sudden loss.

Ramon became a father just over a month before his death. The funds raised here will go to helping Ramon's partner take care of their newborn son and helping his family start a savings fund for Ramon Jr.'s future.
