Fighting for More Time With My Boys

I never thought I’d be in a position where I would share something so personal, but here I am. As a man, it’s not always easy to ask for help. Those who truly know me know one thing for certain I love my boys more than anything in this world.

Right now, I have my sons every other weekend, and while I cherish every second with them, it’s simply not enough. I am working to modify my divorce agreement so I can have more time in their lives to help with homework, attend practices, be there for school events, and just be present as their father in the everyday moments that matter most. Good dads are irreplaceable and I definitely show up for my babies.

Unfortunately, co-parenting has been extremely challenging. I’ve been dealing with ongoing difficulties that have made it hard to maintain a healthy, cooperative parenting relationship. At times, I feel like my children are being used as leverage, and that’s something no parent or child should have to experience. I’m standing up not only to protect my relationship with my boys, but also to protect my name and my role as their father.

I currently pay $1,200 a month in child support and continue to meet my responsibilities, but legal fees add up quickly. The cost of fighting for more time with my children has become overwhelming, and that’s why I’m reaching out for support.

Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward legal expenses to help me pursue a fair custody modification. Your support will not only help me it will help my boys have more time with their dad.
