Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
We are reaching out today to ask for your help in supporting Ramona Douglas, a dedicated musician, music teacher, and valued member of our community. While she was playing a gig at Community College of Philadelphia back in December, Ramona’s backpack containing her piccolo and computer, two essential tools she relies on daily to teach and create music, was stolen. While CCP and the Philadelphia Police have security footage and have investigated this crime, hope is now dwindling that these items will be recovered.
Ramona is more than just a teacher — she is an inspiration to countless students, imparting not only musical knowledge but also a love for the arts, discipline, and creativity. She has been performing and teaching music in our Philadelphia community for many years, and her students describe her as passionate, patient, and empowering. Music is her life’s work, and this unexpected setback is not just a personal loss but one that deeply impacts her ability to continue doing what she loves.
Please consider contributing to help Ramona keep making amazing music!
