Hello All,

With a very heavy heart, we inform you that Ramesh Thippeswamy, a wonderful husband, father, friend to many of us, and colleague was taken away from us. Ramesh fought with everything he had, against Pancreatic Cancer, for his family but finally had to bow down to God’s Will today on March 3rd, 2021

Ramesh was a great soul with immense compassion, empathy, and love for others around him. He was a hard worker and a man dedicated to his beautiful family as he strived to secure the best future for his two children. He was an honest, committed, dedicated, and sincere coworker and friend to brighten the days of everyone around him.

Ramesh was diagnosed and confirmed with Pancreatic Cancer after traveling to India in hopes of finding answers about his acute back pain and Jaundice.  After consulting doctors in India, Ramesh was diagnosed with advanced-stage Pancreatic Cancer along with Jaundice, a condition where the liver is unable to function. Fighting with two chronic illnesses at once, took a tremendous toll on Ramesh’s body making him unable to survive a heart attack.

Within the span of two months, Ramesh’s condition deteriorated rapidly from acute back pain to jaundice, to fatal Pancreatic Cancer. This rapid turn of events left Ramesh and his family no time to prepare for such unforeseeable conditions.

Ramesh leaves behind his loving wife and two daughters who were the love of his life. With a sudden change turning their world upside down, Ramesh’s family needs our support as they, like many of us, have not taken into account the impact such a disastrous event can have financially.

While it is true that Ramesh proudly and bravely tried to the best of his ability to take care of his family till the very end, there is some need for support from us and the community to provide his family with some sense of stability and ease their distress. In this regard, we request those who may have known Ramesh personally, or through friends or community, to consider this request for help. We thank you for your kindness, your solidarity, and your generosity.

We are aware that this grief is beyond repair and no words can ever bring back or fill the void in Ramesh’s family’s life but knowing that we are offering our support for this family and being there for them is the least we can do.

Requester Name: Uma Gopaluni. I am working in IBM as a Delivery Project Executive and manage a client engagement in Tampa, Florida.
Relationship with Beneficiary: Ramesh Thippeswamy is part of my team. His family will be the final recipient of this fund who is currently in India.
Funds spend plan: All of Ramesh’s colleagues and friends decided to raise this fund to utilize it for Ramesh's daughter’s educational purposes.
Plan to transfer funds to Ramesh’s family: Since Ramesh passed away during the treatment in India and his family is also currently in India, we are planning to make Asok Chattopadhyay a beneficiary of this fund who in turn would transfer the fund to Ramesh’s wife’s account in India which is outside of gofundme. Asok is also working in my team along with Ramesh and is a close family friend of Ramesh’s family.
