Our Fraternity Brother, Ramces Tiburcio has passed away and we are deeply saddened to shed light on this news.
About a year ago, Ramces was diagnosed with Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer). Afterwards, he was referred to an Oncologist and underwent treatment to help improve his condition. During this trying time, Ramces and his wife, Elisha, were blessed with the birth of their healthy beautiful baby boy, Micah.

After several months of treatment, Ramces and his wife decided to get a second opinion with another Oncologist. Unfortunately, the treatment was unsuccessful and on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, our beloved brother passed away in physical form from Earth.
This tragic news has been difficult for a lot of people to digest especially since Ramces was so young, strong, and loved by all. Both Ramces and his wife were hesitant to share their story because they had faith that the treatments, his strength, determination, and willpower would conquer his condition.
As his Fraternity Brothers and extended family we are sharing his story because Ramces' dying wishes was that his family spread his story so that it may shed awareness on others and possibly save someone's life. Ramces wanted us to value our health and know the importance of taking care of each other by taking control of our lives, getting routine check-ups, following up on medical conditions, asking questions, getting second/third opinions, doing research, and by refusing to accept everything we're told as truth and fact.
In light of all this, the Pioneros Chapter of Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, Incorporated is making an urgent plea for all to come together and support this wonderful family. As you can imagine, the family is struggling emotionally and financially due to this tragedy. We are raising funds to help Ramces' family, his wife Elisha, and one-year old son Micah during this crisis. You can help us by donating to this fundraiser. These are trying times for our dear brother and his family. Every penny counts to help alleviate the pain that his loved ones are enduring.
For those who didn't know Ramces “Rams” Tiburcio is a beacon of hope who always brings the best out of those around him. Known for his motivational quotes and “LowKey” positive attitude, Rams also reflects this inspirational drive within himself. This Dominican brother is also a baseball enthusiast (and a Tampa Bay Rays fan?!?!) and former semi-pro pitcher, who is a great companion to spectate nine innings at your favorite ballpark. Ramces is also an exemplary father - he and his wife also just welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family in June of 2019. The presence and impact this brother has made – both on our campus and in our hearts – is unparalleled.
Ramces became a brother of Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, Incorporated when he joined the Pioneros Chapter in Spring 2015. He is a Rutgers University Alumni and graduated with his Bachelors in Psychology in 2015. We know him as Brother “LowKey”, Solo, and P2 of the Hupomone Line.
His story must be told! He will remain forever #Undefeated.
