Raley is my 13-year-old daughter, and our world changed when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor at just 12 years old. In July 2025, she bravely underwent surgery, but the tumor couldn’t be removed because it’s located on her brain stem. Since then, Raley has faced so many challenges—she experiences drop spells, uncontrollable nausea, severe headaches, and one side of her body is growing faster than the other. She’s also gained weight due to her condition. Raley has always been homeschooled, so her support circle isn’t the largest, and she now has to continue learning from home because of the tumor’s effects.

Despite everything, Raley’s spirit shines bright. She loves writing and reading, even though reading has become a chore lately. She finds joy playing with our cats, spending time with her big sister Lexie, and her best friend Emma. Watching her adapt and find happiness in small moments inspires us every day.

We’re raising funds to help cover the costs of travel to her many appointments, therapies, proper nutrition, and items that bring her comfort—like clothing and things to make her days a little easier. As a combat veteran, I never expected to battle a war at home that can’t be won. Raley is our baby, and she’s amazing in so many ways.
