Raine Holgate and I have been friends for over 20 years, first meeting in Laramie, Wyoming, and now both living in Sweetwater County. Raine is a devoted single mom to her 6-year-old son, Treasure, who truly lives up to his name. She’s been working hard in college and was just trying to get through her finals when life took an unexpected turn.
About two weeks ago, Raine was admitted to Anshultz hospital in Denver, Colorado, after struggling with breathing and eating. Doctors discovered she needs surgery on her neck, scheduled for December 17th, 2025. This was a shock, and Raine had to use the last of her funds to get to Denver, leaving her with nothing set aside for Christmas. She’s facing a tough recovery, all while worrying about rent, utilities, and making sure Treasure has a little holiday joy.
I’m reaching out to ask for help supporting Raine and Treasure during this difficult time. Donations will go toward their living expenses, medical and travel costs, and hopefully a couple of gifts for Treasure. I’m also hoping to find a Christmas tree to make the season a bit brighter for them. Any donation would help, and even if you can’t give, please share this fundraiser. Raine and Treasure appreciate your kindness, your prayers, and your support as they face the road to recovery.
