In July of 2025, 14-year-old Raine Gorman began experiencing chest pains and shortness of breath.

After an urgent care visit, a chest X-ray revealed a large, softball-sized tumor attached to a fractured rib in the left side of his chest cavity. The morning after this chest X-ray, Raine was sent to Mission Children's Oncology to begin a deeper diagnostic process, where he underwent multiple scans and a biopsy. The doctor's diagnosed Raine with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive type of bone and soft tissue cancer found primarily in children and teens.

Raine's vibrant lifestyle abruptly changed, and his life and his parents' lives now revolve around prioritizing his medical care. Raine has received (and is currently receiving) treatments including the following: daily chemotherapy in which he receives rounds of 5 different types of chemotherapy in total, boosters, and cell regenerators. He endures long hospital stays following his treatment, and daily meds to mitigate the physical complications/symptoms from his therapies. An overwhelming 3-week pattern of treatment is repeated over three months, after which the hope is that Raine's tumor will shrink enough to be removed.

If all goes well and surgery can be performed, Raine will have the tumor removed and then start another round of chemotherapy to kill any remaining cancer cells.

As a result of Raine's illness and the time required to undergo treatments, his mother has stopped earning an income. With one less working parent and the additional fiscal burdens of Raine's treatments, the Gorman family could use immense financial support right now.

Anyone who knows this family even a little knows the Gormans are usually the "rescuers." Now, it's our turn to show them how much we love them back. Let's bless the heck out of them. Share this GoFundMe. Tell everyone. Let's love on this family as they've loved on so many others!

Some background on the incredible "RC" Raine Gorman:
Raine has experienced much success building, tweaking, and racing RC Cars. Throughout the past few years, he has grown a love and passion for this hobby and has earned numerous sponsorships with different RC companies, as well as international championship titles. Recently, Raine's home track in South Carolina closed; as a result of his health condition, he is limited when it comes to traveling to other tracks around the neighboring states.
