Fundraiser for Emilio: Help a Retired Service Dog See Again

Dear friends and compassionate supporters,

Emilio, a devoted and gentle soul who spent his life serving others. Emilio is a retired service dog who was specially trained to assist his beloved owner with mobility issues caused by Parkinson's disease. He was not just a helper—he was a lifeline, a constant companion, and a source of unconditional love.

When Emilio's owner passed away, his daughter stepped up and cared for him until she, too, fell ill and could no longer manage his needs. That's when Emilio came into the care of Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue about a month ago.

Emilio is blind due to cataracts, deaf, and came to us with a painful ear infection (which is thankfully now under control). Despite these challenges, Emilio remains sweet, patient, and full of heart. We believe he deserves a chance to experience the world again through restored sight.

Today we took Emilio to Animal Eye Care for an evaluation, and great news — he passed his retinal test with flying colors and IS a candidate for cataract surgery! But we need your help to make it happen.

Surgery Estimate (with rescue discount): $2,900

Follow-up Care: $500–$800
