Support Raina's Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer

Donation protected
Dearest friends, community members, and family,

As many know Raina was originally diagnosed with Grade 3, Stage 3, breast Cancer in October of 2021. She spent the better part of two+ years fighting it, including extensive chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple surgeries. She was finally declared NED (no evidence of disease) in the beginning of 2024, even having a clear full body scan on August 30th, 2024.

Just as life had started to return to normal, the rug was ripped from under Raina and her family when she went for her annual breast MRI in May and they saw spots on her lungs and liver. After additional testing, it was discovered that her cancer has metastasized, with multiple lesions on her lungs, liver, and bones. She is now stage 4, and faces a lot of uncertainty regarding her treatment options and prognoses. This is now something she will be fighting for the rest of her life, however long that may be.

For those who know Raina, you know that she is the most loving, caring and dedicated mother. Her children, family, and friends are her world, and she should be able to spend this time with them without the burden of choosing between paying medical bills or her kids' activities. It's very important to her that life stays as normal as possible for the kids, as this is hard enough without having to loose out on doing the things they love.

As Raina and her family face this challenge, we have begun to organize ways to support them. These ideas include, but are not limited to, providing meals and groceries, taking care of home obligations & responsibilities, supplementing lost income, mitigating medical and care costs, and finding ways to ease the burdens that lie ahead for the Kenney Family. They will be traveling back and forth from UCSF for years (hopefully). This requires her husband Ryan to take time off of work to drive her to and from her treatments. The medical bills have already begun to come in, and along with that the extra burden of worrying about how they are going to afford it all.

Please help us support the Kenney family in anyway possible. Lots of prayers and support is needed. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
