Support Rafael's Journey Off the Streets

If you spend any time uptown near Kings, you definitely have seen our friend Rafael Diaz. Our neighborhood gentle giant, Rafael has been homeless for a long time...UNTIL TODAY. With the help of Garden State Episcopal (Hudson County's agency focused on homelessnes), the Hoboken Homeless Shelter , Hoboken's Social Workers and the Hoboken Community Center Rafi will be moving into housing and will no longer have to sleep on the streets, or under the arches near the Hoboken Museum.

But - this is where you come in. We need funding to pay his monthly rent. I will be paying the first months through May, so his space is secured, but need to raise $5,225 for the remaining 11 months of his rent.

Garden State Episcopal has been working closely with Rafi to get him all the benefits he is entitled to, so in the future he will have income to pay for his housing on his own. We are hoping that will be in 6-9 months.
