I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share that our beloved grandma, Rafaela Reyes Sanchez, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on April 3rd, 2025. Within less than two months, her condition has worsened rapidly. Her hospice nurse has informed us that she has limited time left.
Our grandma is the heart of our family—full of love, strength, and stories. She’s spent her life caring for others, always putting family first. Now, we’re doing our best to honor her final days and ensure she is surrounded by peace, dignity, and love.
We’re starting this GoFundMe to help with upcoming funeral and memorial expenses. We want to give her the farewell she deserves; a beautiful service that reflects the nurturing life she lived. Unfortunately, these costs are more than we can manage alone.

Funeral Arrangements: Our grandmother’s final resting place will be in her hometown in Mexico following her celebration of life. As a woman who loved her family, we find it spiritually important for her physical remains to be alongside her parents, siblings and relatives. Funds will be allocated for the memorial service, cremation, and travel expenses for Leticia, her only daughter, to deliver her urn.
