Support open knowledge: help us publish an open-access book on resistance and social change
We are launching a small grassroots fundraising campaign to cover the proofreading costs of the forthcoming edited volume Power to Create, Power to Destroy: Toward Cultures of Resistance and Radical Social Change, edited by Federico Venturini , Théo Rouhette , and Marcy Isabella and to be published by Punctum Books .

The book brings together critical voices from different fields and contexts to reflect on contemporary struggles, cultures of resistance, social ecology and possibilities for radical social transformation. It engages with questions of power, autonomy, collective action, political imagination, and emancipatory practices across disciplines and movements.

Importantly, the book will be published as open access under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license, meaning it will be freely available to everyone, without paywalls, and reusable for educational, activist, and non-commercial purposes.

Punctum Books is a respected independent open-access publisher committed to experimental, critical, and politically engaged scholarship. However, like many small presses, it relies on authors and editors to secure limited funds for final production costs, including professional proofreading.

Your contribution will directly support:
  • Professional proofreading of the full manuscript
  • Improving the clarity and accessibility of the text
  • Ensuring the book reaches a wide international audience in the best possible form

By supporting this campaign, you are not only helping a book get published but you are actively supporting open knowledge, critical scholarship, and the circulation of ideas that challenge dominant power structures.
Every contribution, even small, makes a difference.
