Rachel is a loving, devoted single mom to her daughter Hensley. Rachel has one of the biggest hearts and cares deeply for everyone around her and I am so thankful our daughters are best friends and grateful to call her one of my best friends. On December 29th, Rachel was involved in a serious car accident that left her with both legs broken. She spent the last two weeks at WakeMed hospital and is finally home recovering, but she still has a long road ahead. Rachel will be non-weight bearing for at least the next 8 weeks before she can even start to learn how to walk again, making it very challenging for her to get out of bed. This life-changing event has forced her to take an unknown amount of time off work to focus on her recovery, and she now faces a long and challenging journey with physical therapy before she will be able to walk again.

As a single parent, Rachel is the sole provider for her daughter, Hensley. The accident has brought not only physical pain but also a heavy financial burden. With medical bills, daily living expenses, and the added cost of traveling to and from doctor’s appointments and physical therapy, the stress is overwhelming. Rachel’s strength and determination are inspiring, but she cannot face this road alone.
