Help Rachel Get Jelly Bean Back on the Road

Hi friends,

I never imagined I'd be starting a GoFundMe, but here I am — asking for a little help to get my car, lovingly named Jelly Bean, back on the road.

Recently, I found out that Jelly Bean needs a full engine replacement, and the repair cost is around $5,500. As someone without savings or extra funds for a sudden, major expense like this, I’m feeling overwhelmed and unsure where else to turn.

To make things tougher, I still have a loan on the car — so trading it in or getting something new just isn’t an option right now. I need to fix it and keep going, as best I can.

Right now, I’m incredibly lucky to have amazingly generous roommates who’ve been helping me with rides. But I’ll be moving at the end of August, and once I do, I won’t have the same support system — I’ll truly need my car to get to work, run errands, and take care of everyday life.

I’ve always tried to manage things on my own, so asking for help like this is hard and humbling. But if you’re able to donate — or even just share this with others — it would mean the world to me. Every little bit helps more than you know.
