Support Rachel's Journey to Sobriety

Donation protected
Hi My name is Rachel, some of you know me by Layla. I am going to get really vulnerable so bear with me. I have been struggling with addiction for many years now, since I was a teenager. With multiple rehab attempts, spending two years in prison, a ton of loss, I could never get sobriety under my belt, after 13 years off on and off of an opiate addiction, I’ve finally had enough. I found myself in the darkest place I had ever known, pushed away family and friends, faced many losses, including the light I once had inside. After 13 years of a continuous battle, I finally checked myself into what will be my last rehab. I flew across the country and have spent the last 30 days in an inpatient. I graduate this program tomorrow and am looking for help with the funds to get into an all women’s sober living. Rent is $700 and there is a one time deposit of $75. My only other option is to go home back to the same apartment around the same people but in my eyes that is not an option, I am terrified to go back to the same place and risk losing everything I have gained, everything I have been taught, everything I have worked for, and the small amount of self-love I have gained from participating in this program. For anyone that understand addiction, or has seen a loved one struggle with addiction, then you know this is a family disease and affects everyone that cares about the person who is using drugs/alcohol. That being said, to my loved ones, I know an apology doesn’t mean anything at this time, but just know I am doing any and everything I can to heal and find happiness and purpose again so that I can show up for you all in a way that I never have, and most importantly show up for myself.

I am asking anyone who reads this to find it somewhere in their heart to help me come up with the money so that I don’t have to go back to where I came from, I’ve made it too far for that to be an option. For anyone who knows me, you’d know that for me to humble myself enough to reach out and ask for help, this must be something extremely important to me, truly it’s life or death.

I just want to say thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for even clicking on the link. If anyone wants to donate and isn’t comfortable with sending the $ through this, I’m sure we can work out a way you can pay the owner of the house directly.

I appreciate each and everyone of you, and I’ll see you on the flip side
