Support Rachel's Journey to Life-Saving Treatment

Hi my friends. This is Cordelia. Anybody who knows me probably knows that I'm a twin, AND that I have twin cousins my same age. Growing up when you said "Hook twins" it meant four not two. We are the Hook Twin Gang Forever ( HTGF).

I am here asking for my community to help me in supporting one of the twin cousins, Rachel, as she fights for her life. She has fought thru so much, more than most of us can ever imagine, and now she is up against breast cancer.

In November 2023, she went to the doctor because of a painful lump in her breast, and the doctor said it was a benign cyst and it would go away if she changed her diet. In other words, lose weight. It did not get better in fact it got worse but because of her previous encounter of being fat shamed she put off going back for way too long. Once her twin got her to go in August 2024, and in to finally see an oncologist in September 2024, it was stage 4 and had spread to her bones.

The doctor didn't want to do treatment of any kind. No surgery, no chemo. The only treatment offered was hormone blockers, cutting off estrogen and hoping for the best. Her insurance wouldn't cover enough for the first cancer treatment center she went to and she was denied treatment. With the cost and the advanced stage of her diagnosis, the doctor basically said sit and wait. Mitigate the pain and thats about it. WE ARE NOT DOING THAT!! A Hook twin would never do that!!!

Rachel has been granted an appointment on January 17th, with one of the best doctors at one of the best cancer treatment centers in America and on top of already mounting cost, it will cost a high amount to get her there. She will have the flight cost for her and her companion going with her(most likely her son), her place to stay, unknown expenses, and more medical bills she will definitely incur. We know this is coming up quick and we are in an acute situation. I, along with every other person that loves our Rachel, want to take this burden off her shoulders.

This is where I need you!!! Please help the Hook twin gang get our beloved Rachel to the Tampa Moffitt Cancer Treatment and Research Center in Tampa, FL where she can be seen and heard. Where she will get other opinions and most importantly doctors who value her life. Thank you so much for reading this and giving if you can.
