Hello All:

It is with heavy hearts that we reach out for your support during this incredibly difficult time.

While visiting with us over the Holidays, our beautiful daughter Rachel was involved in a devastating golf cart accident on December 28, 2025, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. As a result, she spent 19 days in a medically induced coma at the HCA Level 1 Trauma Hospital in Ocala Fl., followed by another 5 days in the I.C.U. as she gradually regained consciousness after the sedation was lifted. She was then transferred to the Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital in Jacksonville, Fl. She was discharged from this facility on February 13 and we were allowed to bring her home for the weekend which was a much-needed change of scenery for her after 48 consecutive days in various hospitals. Starting February 16, Rachel began participating in a full-time day therapy program in Jacksonville where she will continue her recovery for the foreseeable future. Her ultimate goal is to return to her nursing career someday. Rachel has shown remarkable resilience throughout this difficult journey and we remain confident that she will make a full recovery!

The months ahead will be immensely challenging for Rachel and her husband Tyler as she navigates through the recovery process. This is going to create a financial burden for them which will necessitate substantial support. So many of you have done so much already that it is difficult for us to ask for additional help, so please don’t feel an obligation to contribute.

It has been your thoughts and prayers that have gotten us this far and we want you to know how grateful we remain for what you have already done for our family. We love you all!
