My name is Rachel and a couple of months ago, my father-in-law was diagnosed with the beginning stages of congestive heart failure. Well, jump forward to 2 weeks ago, mom and dad were going to get some pizza for dinner and dad had a heart attack on Main Street here in town and was taken back up to Littleton Hospital by ambulance. Littleton sent him to Dartmouth where they informed us that Dad’s heart was only functioning at 20%. In 3 days, that decreased quickly to 5%. They informed us that he is not in fact in the beginning stages, but end stages, and also that his kidneys are severely damaged as well. They put him on an infusion of medicine that will give him a boost to what little life he has left.

They sent dad home this past Tuesday, 5/13, and Wednesday he had several more heart attacks at home and had to be transported back to the hospital by ambulance! Littleton informed us they weren’t sure he would make it through the night. He did make it, but they aren’t sure he will be coming home. My mother-in-law has missed 3 weeks of work now, as she’s trying to spend every possible moment with him. She had to dip into her rent money for this month. We are just asking for enough money to help mom pay their rent for May, and be able to get groceries, gas money, or anything she may need to get through this time! If he passes away, it can help pay for cremation costs and whatever else comes with that! We thank you all in advance for your help!
