Hi friends! My name is Chelsey Maggard and I'm setting up this donation space to help Rachel and Zoey navigate the scary medical landscape they've been in for the past few months, and are continuing to weather.

In October 2025, they welcomed their beautiful son, Rowan, into the world - while the birthing journey itself involved a harrowing C-section after attempting natural birth, he came out happy and healthy and full of joy! He's since been hitting growth milestones like a boss (he gets that from his badass moms), but Rachel began to suffer postpartum complications due to a retained placenta. Thus far, Rachel has battled two major hemorrhages (and emergency surgeries) in as many months, and is currently preparing to have a hysterectomy surgery performed to hopefully address these bleeds permanently. Can you believe through ALL of that, this wonder woman passed her Nurse Practitioner exam?? I told you Rowan got those boss genes from somewhere!

We're raising funds to assist with expenses related to: ICU stays, ambulances, surgeries, continued monitoring to address hormone balances, etc., as well as outpatient mental health services to help address trauma healing. With a hysterectomy (not to mention the previous surgeries her body has had to bounce back from), Rachel will be in for at least 6-8wks of healing. With that in mind, donations will also go toward day to day expenses to help keep the Zochel family operating and comfortable (groceries, child care, etc.).

Through one traumatic experience after another, Zoey and Rachel have both been strong partners and parents - but this one is a marathon, not a sprint - any assistance their village of family & friends can provide is greatly appreciated.
