Hello everyone this is our loving mother as most know as Rachel and we are really in need of your support and help to give our mother the after life she deserves. let us explain how we got here .. on 08/14/24 our mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (cholangiocarcinoma stage 3b ) after months of ER visits and admissions. Fast forward to 10/28/24 she had a classic whipple procedure that lasted 10 plus hours due to the severity of the cancer shortly after this on 11/25/24 she got her med port and the day after 11/26/24 she started chemotherapy and ended treatment on 6/18/25. they did stop chemotherapy once during that time due to elevated liver enzymes that was assumed to be a reoccurrence until they confirmed it wasn’t and started chemotherapy back up. she had no reoccurrence after 6/18/25 up until towards the end of July on 07/20/25 she started having severe symptoms that were very concerning. She went to the ER and there she was sent home and nothing was done. we kept insisting she go back to the ER the starting of August and was in and out of the hospital until 09/15/25 when she had the fluid that was in her stomach removed. 2.3L was drained and she was discharged the following day on 9/16/202 then returned on 9/17/2025 when they called her and told her she needed to come back. On 09/20/25 her pathology/cytology from the fluid that was removed came back positive for malignant cells… signifying “ metastatic cholangiocarcinoma “ , we’ve been told from the start of the diagnosis that if her cancer ever reoccurred she would no longer qualify for any further treatment since she’s had the whipple and chemotherapy…. On 09/24/25 they decided that it was medically necessary to surgically intervene since the blockage was not clearing on its own….As of 10/09/25 she is still fighting this terrible disease and it’s rapidly progressing and has pretty much consumed her abdominal area. So with that being said the disease will continue to take it’s natural course…. in the meantime we’d love to raise awareness and help give her the after life she deserves
