On March 5 of this year, Rachel began experiencing health problems that led to the unimaginable—being diagnosed with cancer at just 26 years old. Over the last two months, she has seen multiple doctors, undergone extensive diagnostic testing, had two surgeries, and today, received her first round of chemotherapy. Rachel is one of the strongest people I know. At 14, she was taken in by her grandmother, who raised her during some of the most important years of her life. She overcame the challenges of moving to a new town, starting at a new school, and adjusting to life with 'new parents,' all while navigating the ups and downs of being a teenager. But Rachel is an overcomer. She graduated high school, went on to college, earned a degree in diesel mechanics, and has been working hard ever since. Life keeps pushing her to be better, and she rises to the challenge every time. She has the kindest heart, loves her family deeply, and works tirelessly to better herself every day. Now, with a new diagnosis of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Rachel is facing mounting medical bills and the added stress of being unable to work during her chemo treatments. We are reaching out to family, friends, and our community to ask for help supporting Rachel through this difficult journey.
