Support Rachel’s fight

Rachel has been at OSU for nearly three weeks now and diagnosed with Dermatomyositis. She has been battling this disease for a month before that. She has been in pain every single day since this started and her muscles have been rapidly weakening even with the start of her IVIG. Dermatomyositis is an extremely rare disease and all patients respond differently to the treatments. As of yesterday the doctors have made the decision to intubate Rachel after she was also diagnosed with double pneumonia. She has been fighting so hard, being intubated will give her body and mind the rest she needs while the drs continue to treat her and run more tests. Her family Is still waiting on the results to some test that were done yesterday in order to gain more answers. Rachel was healthy and planning her next steps just a short time ago and this all just seems unreal to everyone who knows and loves her. She is a loving wife and mama to two amazing little boys that are missing her dearly. I’ve had a lot of people reach out on how to help. We shared her venmo but some people do not have venmo so we thought this would be an easier way to contribute. Thank you everyone for thinking of our amazing friend .
