Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my sister Rachel's passing on July 4th. Rachel was a constant source of love and joy for our family, living at home with my parents her entire life due to a rare genetic disorder called Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome. This condition, characterized by developmental delays and health challenges, made her my mother's constant companion and my dad's forever baby girl.

Rachel's sudden loss has left our family devastated. My father has had to take off work for several weeks, first hoping for her recovery and then caring for my grieving mother and making arrangements for Rachel's funeral. Unfortunately, Rachel did not qualify for life insurance, so my parents are paying for many things out of pocket and bills are adding up, which has placed a significant financial strain on them.
