Hi everyone, I’m Rachel.
I’m 37 years old, a student, a writer, and recently, I was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma. It came as a shock. It’s not even sun-related; mine is congenital, something I was born with. Some people get lucky with great hair; turns out, I got great hair and skin cancer!
The cancer has already spread to my lymph nodes, and while the affected nodes have been surgically removed, this is far from over. I’m now preparing to start immunotherapy, and I may be accepted into a clinical trial for a promising treatment.
Even with insurance, the costs are overwhelming. There are medical gaps, travel expenses, follow-up scans, recovery supplies, and everyday bills that don’t pause just because you’re in treatment.
If you’re able to help, your donation will go toward:
Immunotherapy and treatment
Post-surgery recovery and healing
If you’ve ever said, “Let me know if you need anything,” this is that moment. Your support, whether through a donation or a share, truly matters.
I’m staying hopeful. I’m staying grounded. And I’m incredibly grateful for every bit of help along the way.
With love,
Rachel
