My name is Rachel Woolf, flutist and professor, and I spent 5 weeks in Tanzania this summer volunteer teaching with Daraja Music Initiative. I had the immense honor of working with many communities of musicians during my time in Tanzania. Part of my journey was working with the Police Band of Moshi, TZ.

My hope is to raise money for materials to bring for these musicians and other Police Bands of Tanzania. I am working towards going back in November, and here is my wish list of materials to bring with me:

-Essential Elements books for two bands, $2,500

-money to repair flutes, in order to bring over as many working flutes as possible, $1,000

-Pads and tool kits for woodwind instrument repair, $1,000

-Other instructional books and materials, $500

Total Goal: $5,000
