Hi. My name is Rachel, and I am asking for financial help. One day, I spoke to my husband on the phone while I was on my morning break at work. It was a normal phone call. We ended it by telling each other we love each other, and I told him I’d see him after work. Well, when I came home from work, I found that he had moved every single one of his belongings out and he was gone. No note. Nothing. He blocked me from being able to text or call him. He deleted his social media. The next day, he emailed me. He apologized for how he was handling this, but he felt our personalities were too different for him to ever be happy with me. So, after 9 years together—3 years married—I am facing a divorce. I never, ever saw this coming. I don’t even want it. I love him and I was happy, and I am completely blindsided by this. But I have no choice.

I work a full-time job, but it isn’t quite enough, so I have recently started doing Door Dash when I am able to. I may even look into finding a part-time job I can do on weekends. In the meantime, I need help. I am going to be facing legal fees and other unexpected expenses, including medical insurance (which used to be covered by my job). I will now have to cover the bills he paid. My biggest concern is rent. I am in this lease for another 8 months, and Kris’ portion was $1,000. Gotta love the Florida cost of living. I know they had me put a goal on here, but, honestly, anything would help.

I hope people don’t see this as pathetic. My life just got completely flipped upside down, and I am truly terrified.
