Anyone who has ever met Rachel knows she’s unforgettable - full of fire, deep faith, honesty, transparency and an infectious laugh. At Legacy Church in Hamilton and Kitchener, Ontario, she’s Pastor Rach - a gifted musician, anointed worshipper, their truth-telling leader, and the passionate pastor who has poured her whole adult life into ministry and loving her family. Wherever she is, she’s present, whether with her husband, Pastor Matt, or her amazing kids, Charlie (11) and London (10).
After surgery in April 2024 to remove a cancerous tumor from her stomach, she was declared cancer-free, and we celebrated.
In November, after a routine follow up scan, Rachel and Matt got the news no one ever wants to hear: the cancer is back, that it spread to additional areas and is now Stage 4.
That is the world’s diagnosis. It is NOT God’s final word.
After prayer, counsel, and extensive research, Rachel & Matt have made the decision to pursue treatment options unavailable in Canada.
There is a facility called “Hope 4 Cancer Treatment Center” in Mexico that was established by a spirit-filled doctor known for cutting-edge Integrative & Alternative therapies and a holistic approach. It’s a Christ centered atmosphere that has helped countless people recover. He has a + 30-year track record of turning around situations that other doctors have given up on.
This specialized & proven treatment plan is life saving - but the cost of care and travel is not covered by insurance.
Rachel and Matt are not afraid. They are standing firm, filled with the audacious and whole-hearted faith that is Pastor Rachel’s signature. They have seen God work miracles and make God-sized provision before, and are believing He can and will do it again.
Standing in faith through a storm like this isn’t something that Pastor Rachel and Pastor Matt should ever have to do on their own.
You are part of this story.
This is where you and I come in.
Working together, you and I can use our faith and the resources in our hands to build more years and more memories for Rachel, Matt, Charlie, and London. Here’s how:
Pray: Join Rachel and Matt in believing for complete, radical healing.
Give: Please give your best financial gift today to fund this life saving treatment.
Share: Forward this to five people you know who love Matt, Rachel and the Shuttlesworth family and believe in God's healing, transformative power.
We are praying that those who love Rachel - and those who don’t even know her yet - will join together to raise the full $73,000 needed for Rachel’s full treatment plan and ongoing care.
If we work together - we can lift this financial burden from Rachel and Matt. Your gift of $25, $50, $100 or as much as you are led to give will help in a really practical way to cover costs like travel, accommodations, evaluations, treatments and testing.
And your gift, whatever the size, tells Rachel, Matt, Charlie and London they are seen and loved - and not alone in this storm.
Thank you. We refuse to allow fear or statistics to dictate what God can do. As we work together to lift this burden, Rachel can focus on the fight, stay anchored in hope, and together we’ll watch God write the best chapter of her life yet.
With confident hope, unwavering faith and deep gratitude,
Rachel’s Family & Friends
P.S. Rachel’s birthday is December 24th! This is one of the best birthday gifts you could ever give her!
