This update is from my daughter (and will be updated on gofundme as soon as possible): I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that has been part of my journey, and for all of your support including the heartfelt prayers, emotional and family support for me, my kids and husband, words of faith and encouragement, as well as all the financial assistance given. I am so thankful for all of you, my family, friends, neighbors, church family, nurses, doctors and the friends I haven’t had the pleasure to meet or know. Today I want to share an update of my cancer journey. It has been just over a year since I was first diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. With aggressive chemo infusions, the cancer in my bones and lungs have cleared, leaving the main mass in my breast (for which I have been consistently still receiving cancer treatment.) Recently, scans indicate that my cancer is spreading again , with an additional tumor in the same breast. I recently received referral to a surgeon to discuss possible surgery and associated risks. In addition, I have just been scheduled for a second opinion at MD Anderson in Houston. Costs are staggering. The continued cancer treatment, childcare, and travel expenses have increased (to include upcoming trip and stay at MD Anderson, possibly every 3 months.). But with God’s help, and yours, and the means to continue treatment, I remain faithful that I will get through this and that He will provide a way.
