Support Rachel Payne's Spinal Surgery Recovery

Greetings,

Thank you so much for taking the time to review my fundraiser. I appreciate your thoughtfulness and care for others.

My name is Rachel Payne, I am an only parent to my daughter Naomi, and I am having spinal surgery this May 2025. (Surgery name = “TLIF” Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion)

I have experienced back pain for years, so after doctor visits, x-rays, and physical therapy, I recently had my first MRI in which spine issues were discovered, necessitating surgical intervention. I will list those exact terms at the end of the post. My neurosurgeon was flexible and allowed me to wait until May when the school year ends; this will lighten the burden of daily chores during recovery.

Health insurance will help with medical bills but not fully. Most importantly, this fundraiser is intended for the recovery period of up to six weeks that I will miss out on valuable work to cover our rent, electric, basic needs, and for meals and help with daily chores as I will be in a recovery phase. These costs will be more than I can manage alone.

Your generous contributions will go towards:

• Rent, electric, basic needs/bills while I recover and am unable to work

• Prepared meals for my daughter and me while I recover and am unable to twist, bend, lift, drive, etc.

• Medical bills and hospital expenses

• Post-surgery care and rehabilitation

• Medications and necessary medical equipment (back brace, walker)

I understand that times are tough for everyone, and any amount you can contribute means the world to me. Sharing this fundraiser with your family and friends and posting it to your social media platforms would be a blessing as well.
